Protecting Your Valuable Assets: My Backup Process
When you trust me to capture your event, headshots, branding imagery, property or product photography, I understand just how important those images are to your business. That’s why my top priority—right after the shoot—is making sure your images are safe and secure.
As soon as the shoot wraps up, wherever possible, I back up the images to an external hard drive on-site. This allows me to create a first layer of security for your files while still at the location. If backing up on-site isn’t possible due to time constraints or the environment, I ensure the images are backed up to the cloud and two separate external hard drives as soon as I return home. This multi-layered approach safeguards your assets against any potential loss or corruption during transport or in the early stages of editing.
But my commitment to keeping your images safe starts even earlier—right in the camera. I use professional-grade cameras that record every shot onto two separate memory cards simultaneously. This built-in redundancy ensures that, even in the unlikely event one card fails, your images will still be safely stored on the second card.
I also take extra precautions when handling your files. I never delete images from my memory cards until your final gallery has been delivered. With at least 20 SD cards in my kit, I can keep the originals stored on the cards while I back up and edit your images. It’s just another way I ensure your assets are fully protected at every stage of the process.
Whether it’s an impactful set of headshots, dynamic event coverage, professional branding imagery, standout property photography, or polished product shots, you can trust me to treat your files with the care and respect they deserve
Your images are in safe hands—right from the moment I press the shutter to the final delivery.
