A Summer of Nature Photography: Capturing the Beauty Around Me
This summer has been filled with adventure, relaxation, and countless moments spent outdoors. It was the perfect season for Summer Nature Photography, capturing everything from peaceful landscapes to close-ups of flowers and wildlife. Most of these moments were taken on my dog walks, using nothing more than my Google Pixel phone.
Exploring the River Wye and the Cornish Coast
A break with family gave me the chance to unwind and reconnect with nature. Our paddle boarding trip on the River Wye offered calm, reflective waters surrounded by lush greenery. It was a perfect spot for landscape photos.
We then headed to Bude, a beautiful coastal town in Cornwall. With dramatic cliffs, quiet beaches, and charming views around every corner, Bude offered endless opportunities for creative shots that really reflected the spirit of summer.
Floral Photography at Cyfarthfa Castle
In June, I returned to Cyfarthfa Castle, where the gardens were alive with summer colour. I photographed:

Shooting with a Smartphone
The Google Pixel made it easy to capture high-quality images on the go. It was always with me, which meant no missed moments. From sweeping views to tiny details, this Summer Nature Photography project reminded me of how powerful a smartphone camera can be.
Every image is not just a photo, it’s a memory. These small snapshots tell a story of family, freedom, and the beauty of the world just outside the front door.
