I was invited by Cardiff National Museum to photograph an event they were running in conjunction with the University of South Wales. The Universities Year 3 – BA(Hons) Creative and Therapeutic Arts students had been set a module where they had to choose and piece of art within the Museum and produce a 3D depiction of that piece of art so that gallery visitors with means beyond the visual to experience the artwork, in the hope of making it more accessible for the public. These particular resources were inspired by the needs as expressed by the museum’s Visually Impaired group who regularly access the museum’s audio description and object handling tours.
